Travel Philosophy
Everyone has this grand idea of world travel.  People have this conception that you only go overseas if you are rich, or maybe for a honeymoon, or a business trip.  But in reality traveling overseas doesn't have to be that big of a deal.  It is a very possible thing for almost anyone with a little bit of money saved up.  Travel to almost anywhere can be easy if you simply do your research before you go.  For some inspiration and great travel theory check out this book.  Its called Vagabonding, by Rolf Potts.  You can also check out Rolf's Site for more info.  I really recommend this book.  Its a real quick read and it'll make you view travel in a new light.

Before you go
There is so much you need to do before you head off on an adventure to Europe.  Planning a backpacking trip is a big deal.  If you're a budget minded traveler it is a must that you plan months in advance in order to get the best deals on everything that you purchase.  You need all the appropriate gear.  You need to have researched the rail system and figured out what kind of pass you plan on using.  You have to buy your plane tickets well in advance to get a good deal, and you have to research all of the places you think you want to go in order to find the best hostels, campsites, attractions, and places to eat.  Check out all of the sublinks to the left for all of my suggestions on preparing for your trip.
